Goals of Quality 990 Efforts

All nonprofits understand and prepare a complete, accurate, consistent and timely Form 990 that can be used as an effective research and accountability tool by regulators, donors, legislators, the nonprofit sector and the general public.

THE GOALS

• Increase understanding and compliance with IRS regulations regarding Form 990 disclosure by nonprofit organizations.

• Improve the quality of information that nonprofits report on their Form 990.

• Inform the public about Form 990 and its useful information.
